AND THE EVIL
HEIGHT: 5'5"
BUILD/WEIGHT: Well toned and athletic. Probably about 125 lbs
EYES: Brown
HAIR: Very Dark Brown Almost Black
PLAYED BY: Eliza Dushku
PERSONAL STYLE:
Faith is the dark slayer and not just in temperament. Her look is also dark. With her almost black hair and her dark brown eyes. She's more smoldering compared to Buffy's lightness. Her close reflect her personality. Fairly simple, yet she has been know to sex it up in the clothing department. Leather pants and jeans when doing Slayer duty. Lots of tank tops and t-shirts, leather or denim jackets. Black leather boots that are sturdy for kicking ass. Thing of that nature are her normal attire. If she is going out to the club or something she likes either the leather pants again or she'll go with short skirts and skimpy cropped tops or camisole type tank tops. Mostly in darker colors. She will put on a pair of heels now and then but she does like her boots. She's got a few pieces of jewelry. Her stand bys are medium to large size hoop earrings and cross necklaces.

HISTORY:
Faith was born on December 14, 1980 in Boston, Massachusetts. Faith grew up in the streets of the tough South Boston neighborhoods. She was raised by an abusive alcoholic mother. She never really new her father, her mother told her he had died when she was young but she learned later that he was really in prison, where he eventually did die. Because of her difficult childhood she was unaware that she was a potential slayer.
Faith was left on her own at a young age when her mother was arrested. Eventually she was sent to foster care after getting in trouble as school for fighting. This was where Faith had her first encounter with a vampire. After killing her foster care parents' vampire son, she ran away. At this point she learned her mother had disappeared. When she finally found her mother again, she ended up beating up the man who had forced her mother into prostitution. The police restrained her and she was sent to a mental hospital for observation.
Faith was then released into the care of Diana Dormer, who turned out to be a Watcher. This is when she began her training as a Slayer. The training included martial arts and weapons usage. It was also during this time that Faith learned about the death of her mother.
Faith came into her full powers as a chosen Slayer after the death of Kendra. Shortly after this event she had to endure the torture and murder of her watcher at the hands of the vampire Kakistos. This set her on a path that eventually brought her to Sunnydale. This is where she met the other Slayer, Buffy Summers.
When the vampire Kakistos shows up in Sunnydale, Faith is ready to flee. Buffy comes along and tries to stop her, telling her that they can fight him together. Faith doesn't want to have anything to do with it, still traumatized over what he had done to her watcher. But, it was too late. Kakistos had already found them. In the end, Buffy and Faith fought Kakistos and Faith was able to over come her fear and kill Kakistos.
Faith is quite the opposite of Buffy. Buffy is popular, fun and stylish while Faith is a loner, dark and brooding. She slays and asks questions later. This of course causes conflict between the two slayers. Faith never quite fits in with Buffy and 'the gang' and Faith feels left out. She become even further isolated and less trusting of people when betrayed by her new Watcher Gwendolyn Post. When she accidentally kills a human it's clear that something is wrong when she tells Buffy she doesn't care. That she was just doing her job. All of this coupled with Faith’s troubled upbringing causes problems for her and directly leads to her stint on the dark side.
After a final show down with Buffy, Faith ends up in a coma for several months. When she wakes up, she terrorizes Buffy and her friends. It culminates with a device that the Mayor had left for Faith that enable her to switch bodies with the other Slayer. Supposedly this would give Faith everything she ever wanted and get Buffy thrown in Slayer prison by the Watcher's Council. Of course, the plan doesn't succeed. Faith has several defining moments during this escapade. Ending with she and Buffy fighting again which was really Faith fighting with herself and feeling extreme hate for herself and what she had become. When Buffy was able to switch their bodies back, Faith again fled instead of facing up to her actions.
Hiding out for some time, Faith turns up next in L.A. where she is approached by Wolfram and Hart to do a little job for them. They want her to kill Angel. She gladly excepts the job. After a few failed attempts she figures the best way to get to Angel is to hurt the people he cares about. To this end she kidnaps Wesley and tortures him until Angel shows up to save him. Faith and Angel fight. Faith again realizing all that she has done breaks down and begs Angel to kill her, because she is bad. She feels she doesn't deserve to live and can't go on this way anymore.
With Angel as her unlikely savior, he refuses to kill her and tells her he thinks she is worth saving. Much to the chagrin of the rest of Angel's team. But, with his help and a prison sentence she begins to atone for her misdeeds.
Sometime later, while still in prison, Wesley comes to tell Faith that they need help to re-en-soul Angelus. Because of Angel's faith in her, she feels a sense of loyalty and Faith leaves prison to help get Angel back. Once the threat was averted, Wesley told her it had to have been her because he knew that she would have done everything in her power to avoid killing Angelus and restoring Angel. At some point, Giles used some of his contacts and a few favors to get Faith removed from 'fugitive' status.
After that task was completed she once again on the side of good. At this point Faith leaves with Willow, returning to Sunnydale to help in the battle with The First. Again teamed up with Buffy, they have to lead a rag tag team of potential Slayers into another impending apocalypse. Faith and Buffy again bump heads. At one point, the potentials vote to put Faith in charge, putting a riffed between the two Slayers again and sending Buffy out on her own. Tired of all the responsibility. Faith reluctantly takes charge of the group. When some potentials are killed on a mission, Buffy returns in time to save the rest, including Faith. Faith and Buffy talk. It seems at that time that they both have a better understanding of the position the other has been in. They also seem to agree that the circumstances are unusual and that two full fledged Slayers were never meant to be co-existing. Hence, the friction and competition between the two of them.
With the small collection of potential Slayers, Spike and Buffy's loyal crew of friends, together they went to a final showdown at the hell-mouth against an army of vampires. Willow worked her mojo on the Slayer's scythe and turned all the potential Slayers into full fledged Slayers. As the battle wore on, they lost several of their comrades, including Anya and several of the potentials. Spike was the one in the end who was able to overcome the vampires, though he had to sacrifice himself to do it. Proving himself a true champion.
With another apocalypse averted, Faith stayed on with the rest of the survivors for awhile but soon got restless and left out on her own to fight evil. Much like her mentor Angel, she is continually fighting to atone for her past.
Currently, she was cryptically approached by Whistler and told she needed to go to Los Angeles. She was wary about the idea, but in the end it was bothering her that she was unable to contact Angel or Wesley. So, she hoped on a plane and got her ass to the city of Angels. Got a quick briefing on the sitch from Angel with commentary provided by Connor. Then she had a weird dream and it turned out so did Buffy. A coincidence? I think not. They are rallying the troops and about to wage their on "Battle of Los Angeles" and try and take the city back from the demon army that is running amok.

PERSONALITY:
Faith is street smart and it shows. She is bold and up front. Faith is the type to kick ass and ask questions later. Of course as with most people she has another side to her. Especially since she is trying to redeem herself she has show a bit more of a softer side. Her being able to take more responsibility for herself and others. For example her remorse when some potentials were killed while she was in charge. Faith runs on her emotions and can become very passionate about things both good and bad.
Faith is not one to trust easily. She has always been envious of Buffy and the things she has that Faith never did. Family, friends, acceptance. The sense of wanting to belong, wanting to be cared about, loved and accepted are core components of her personality. It's want she has always wanted more than anything, even though the facade she puts up in public is of a hardened and jaded person who could care less about those things. In more recent years, the wall she has built has weakened somewhat. She has her moments of compassion and vulnerability. Though her safety net is still to retreat into her tough girl shell.

POWERS AND ABILITIES:
Typical Slayer Powers and Abilities, though hers are probably a little bit more advanced than you typical Slayer. Since she and Buffy are the two Slayers who have been around the longest their skills have developed and they have gotten stronger, wiser and more experienced.
- Super strength
- Increased speed and reflexes
- Heightened senses
- Enhanced agility
- Accelerated healing
- Can sense when vampires or other Slayers are near
- Prophetic dreams
VULNERABILITIES:
Faith is kind of that one tough cookie that has a soft center. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. She's balls to the wall and straight forward which can have her jumping in feet first without looking. She has gotten better over the years as a Slayer but it's still her first instinct to kick ass first, ask questions later.
The toughness she has hides a very complicated person underneath. She rolls on her emotions. For most of her life, only knowing the bad ones. She acts on instinct, but when she breaks... she shatters.

WRITING SAMPLE:
((RP Sample written by me on another Buffy site. They Halo character belongs to another player.))
Faith was doing the standard nightly duty of a slayer. Patrolling the cemeteries. But, for once in what seemed like forever she was alone and reveling in it. No potential tagging along that she had to watch like a hawk. Not even River who was off doing who knows what at the moment. Probably doing some patrolling of her own somewhere else. She had been doing so much better lately.
Faith smiled as she thought about her cousin. It was one of those things in her life that had changed. She actually had 'family' now. Not that people like Buffy and Giles and some of the others hadn't started to accept her and make her feel more accepted as part of their extended family, it just wasn't the same. Faith was always going to be Faith and River was flesh and blood family. That was something.
Those were the thoughts that were parading through Faith's mind. Meanwhile she was tromping around one of the many cemeteries in Sunnydale. Just one of those things about living on a hell-mouth, there were a lot of cemeteries. Tonight she was on the west side. It was after midnight now and things had been quiet. Faith enjoyed the solitude of the opportunity to patrol alone but she was also bored as hell with the inactivity. So far for the night a big fat zero. Nothing was going on and it had her anxious.
Finally she stopped in her tracks, her slayer senses twitching . She had heard something. Probably would have been undetectable to anyone other than a slayer. Automatically she shifted into stealth mode and pulled a stake from the inside pocket of her black leather jacket.
Quietly and gracefully she moved toward the sound. She saw the disturbed earth of a fresh grave and the huge hole in the middle where a new vampire had just clawed his way out. Standing still a little ways off she watched. The vamp couldn't have gone far as the sound she heard was him coming up from the earth. He was a newbie vampire so he was still probably trying to sort out what was going on. He had to be closed. This was going to be way to easy. Not even anything close to a challenge for Faith.
It wasn't long until she saw the vampire walking back toward his own grave. He had been hidden behind a mausoleum about a little ways away. Must have went off to explore but predictable as all new vamps were he was coming back to his grave to contemplate his current situation.
Faith was ready for him and he was definitely not ready for her. She caught him completely by surprise. Just for fun she let the blood sucker get a look at her face and she gave him a little wink."Adios, fucker."Her armed moved quick with slayer reflexes and the stake hit it's mark, not like Faith ever missed. Pulling her arm back she watched as the dust fell to the ground in front of her.
Not having any time to savor the kill, not that it was all that exciting as far as the slayage goes but, it was better than nothing. She sensed another presence and turned to see a guy approaching her. Luckily she sensed he was human so she stood down a little from her kill mode. As he got closer she could see he wasn't just any guy. He was definitely trouble. Trouble with a capital T and not of the bad kind. Well, that all depends on how you look at it. But for Faith he definitely had her attention."Nice work. Reminds me a bit of my sister's moves. Slayer?"Faith raised an eyebrow at him. Tucking her stake back into the inside jacket pocket she never let her eyes leave him. Sizing him up. He was definitely the type she had a weakness for. Dyed black hair a bit unkempt on purpose, dressed in a bit of a punk style, looking damn sexy in his low slung jeans. She'd put money that under that jacket he had on there were tats and lots of them. A grin broke out on her face that she couldn't hide."Slayer? Sister? Aaah.... So, your sister is a slayer? Well I can't deny, you got me pegged on that one."He offered his hand in greeting and Faith reached out and shook it firmly. Still giving him an appraising once over she found herself a bit mesmerized by him."Name's Halo. And you are?"Letting go of his hand she stuffed both hands into her jacket pockets. Relaxing her stance a little more now that she was sure he wasn't a threat. At least not in a negative way. Threatening to put a jolt of excitement into her life was another matter."I'm Faith, a slayer as you've already guessed."Still looking at him, she didn't mention anything more than that about her being a slayer. Not mention the fact that she wasn't just any slayer. She was in fact the LAST of the truly chosen ones. Not that it was all that big of a deal, but she had some bit of a legend surrounding her. Not to mention that she was part of the the slayer academy and had responsibilities with that now. Some people were aware of who she was and some people weren't. If he wasn't she didn't want to bring it up. It was nice to be just an anonymous slayer sometimes.
